The images above are orthoscopic pictures taken by the surgeon while cleaning the wound and repairing the damage.

The image on the bottom center is of the entry and exit wounds. The bullet entered on the right and exited on the left. Just below the exit wound is a smaller hole where the surgeon inserted orthoscopic instruments to clean and repair the damage.

The image on the bottom right is the actual bullet recovered in the trauma room at the hospital with the empty casing and another unspent round. The ammunition pictured is a Federal .38 Special +P, 129 grain, "Hydra-Shock" round specifically designed for personal defense.
